I figured out what is wrong: it should accept input as soon as the last light lights up - instead, it ignores input until the light is out again (it's a bit vague when that it). Therefore, it always misses the few key strokes that I give (which are all while the last light has started to light up), resulting in a failure. You can easily see this even at the start when there is only one light: hit it as soon as it lights up - and it will not be detected! Buggy program thus.

It seems I am too fast for the program, every time I react to a sequence it says "You can do better", but was just that I typed the sequence before it was ready for it, it seems.
